The product feed AI shopping reads first
MG Lumeo fixes the Merchant Center feed and the product-data fields that keep products hidden, so UAE e-commerce brands get products approved, visible, and cited.
Dubai-based, working at the product-data layer AI systems read. Part of our e-commerce SEO work.
Feed and Merchant Center work, explained
Product feed and Merchant Center optimization is the work of correcting and enriching the product data a store sends to Google Merchant Center and to AI shopping engines, so products get approved, appear in Google Shopping and AI answers, and are matched to the right searches. The AI-shopping half follows OpenAI's Agentic Commerce Protocol spec, which sets the product-data fields AI shopping engines read, the same data that AI search visibility depends on.
Google Merchant Center itself is free to use; the optimization is the scoped, paid service.
How is this different from regular SEO and from a DIY feed tool?
| MG Lumeo feed optimization | Regular SEO | DIY feed tool | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it changes | The Google feed fields and the OpenAI AI-shopping fields | The website's pages and content | Feed rules you configure yourself |
| Who decides what to fix | An audit decides which fields are hurting you | Site-wide, not feed-specific | You do; the tool automates but does not judge |
| Covers AI shopping (OpenAI fields) | Yes: popularity_score, return_rate, review_count, star_rating | No | No |
| UAE-local support | Yes, Dubai-based | Varies | No, self-serve software |
| What you get | A field-fix map and tracked AI visibility | Page and content changes | A tool and your own time |
Before you commit to anything, an AI-shopping-readiness audit shows the state of your feed first.
Request your free AI auditWhy does my product feed keep getting rejected or my products stay invisible?
-
01Missing GTIN or brand Google Merchant Center cannot match your product to a known catalogue entry, so the item is disapproved or under-shown.
-
02Price or availability mismatch When the feed price or availability does not match the live product page, Google flags the product and suppresses it.
-
03Weak product titles A product title that omits brand, type, and key attributes loses the query match, so products stay invisible even when approved.
-
04Image or policy issues Promotional overlays, low-resolution images, or restricted-category rules trigger disapproval in Google Merchant Center.
-
05Incomplete required data Approval needs accurate, complete, policy-compliant product data that matches the live product page. Fix the data before you resubmit.

Questions we get asked
It works at two data layers. The Google Merchant Center feed carries the core fields that get products approved and matched: product title, description, GTIN, brand, image_url, price, availability, and product category. The OpenAI Agentic Commerce Protocol feed adds optional performance fields that improve AI-shopping ranking: popularity_score, return_rate, review_count, and star_rating, plus rich media like video_url and model_3d_url.
Pricing is scoped per store, not sold as a fixed package. The cost is driven by your catalogue size, how many platforms and markets you sell in, and how much of the product data needs correcting or rebuilding. For how a scope becomes a number, see the How We Price page.
Google Merchant Center is free to use. Creating and managing your product feed in it costs nothing; the optimization service is the paid part.
Google Merchant Center holds and manages your product data, while Google Ads runs the campaigns that spend on it. Merchant Center is the feed; Google Ads is the advertising layer on top of it.
You need Google Merchant Center if you want your products to appear in Google Shopping and across Google shopping surfaces. It is where your product feed lives so Google can approve, match, and show your items. On a Shopify store, the feed work sits alongside Shopify SEO.
You get approved by submitting accurate, complete, policy-compliant product data that matches your live product page. Missing GTIN or brand, price or availability mismatches, and image or policy issues are the usual reasons a feed is disapproved.
Google Business Profile is a local business listing, while Google Merchant Center is the product-data feed for shopping surfaces. One puts your business on the map; the other puts your products into Google Shopping and AI answers.
